Absolute
Piano : Bosendörfer 225. This piano has been sampled from a
half concert grand
Bosendörfer 225. It has a very large musical spectrum sound. It has
been recorded every 2 notes, with 4 level of velocity. V4 introduce
smooth cross fade between each layer for a better transition between
each velocity layer.
About the
Bosendorfer 225: "Anyone who has ever encountered its
expressive diversity and inimitably rich, moving sound has
experienced some-thing very special indeed. Playing this instrument
is an uplifting feeling; experiencing its musical spectrum is
equally so.
Its size and construction allow this piano to produce a rich palette
of sound colors, from the softest pianissimo to the loudest
fortissimo. Four additional sub-bass keys also extend the bass range
to bottom F.
No wonder that, as well as being a popular choice for concert
performances, our 225 model is also very highly thought of as an
instrument for private use."
What's new in version 4?
New Hammer simulation option.
New Tonal simulation option.
New Sympathic resonance

now you can play piano rolls and record them directly
New sequencer and Midi tools
to play with the piano even without a keyboard.
New preset bank manager
New enhanced sound, using

layer to another.

What the Absolute Piano can do for
you?
The
Absolute Piano concept is to bring to the pianist a lightweight yet
fantastic sounding piano emulation, where you have plethora of options
to enjoy playing your favorite pieces, but using today's technology for
a new exciting musical experience.
Play as a VSTi in your favorite
host.
Play as a Stand Alone application
powered by Minihost
Can play your Midi piano piece and
save them as WAV files. You can use every Absolute Piano as a Midi
to Wav converter.
Add background sounds to have the
feeling of playing in a restaurant, in a forest, in the middle of
the Ocean, on the top of a mountain.
You can record what you play. No
need of a complicated setup.
Absolute Pianos have unique
Simulation features so that, based on the hi-quality studio
recording of a each specific brand and models, you can tweak them
and destroy the sound, make them sound weird, used, old, or sounding
like a violin?
Have an extensive range of very
high quality multi FX. Each of them has been specially designed to
be used with piano, from the complex and smooth reverberator to the
exclusive Peek Punch that makes all pianos sounding as punchy as
Elton John playing on "I'm Still Standin'"!
Absolute Pianos sounds AMAZING,
just check our pages and listen the difference, even huge pianos
doing +2 GB in size cannot play the Moonlight Sonata from Beethoven
with that level of detail and expressivity.
Absolute Pianos are loading in
memory in less than 10 seconds on a regular computer.
Absolute Pianos are running on
Netbooks and small laptops. And are sounding the same! Bring your
piano with you in that Island and play in front of the sunset!
You can play piano using the MIDI,
with the mouse, or even with your computer keyboard (in Stand Alone
mode only)
In stand alone mode when the piano
play a midi file, you can see what is playing and you can play on
the top of it. You can play 4 hands with Absolute Piano playing with
you, and record what you play with nothing else than the Absolute
Piano.
Polyphony : the
Absolute piano can play 128 notes simultaneously!
Chopin : Sonata N°3 in B Mino mvt 4played by Robert
Finley. In this sample you can listen the real sound of the
basic soundbank. No artifacts, no filters, to fx, only the pure
sound of the sampled Piano.
Rachmaninoff: prelude Op.23 N°4 played by Robert Finley.
This sample shows you how the sculpture filter can slightly change
the basic timber of the soundbank to create a lot of interesting
variations.
Chopin : Winter Etude Opt 25 N°11played by Robert
Finley. In this sample you can listen how the reverb can greatly
enhance the piano sound. The reverb uses almost NO processing and is
specially designed to avoid the bad ringing resonance most reverb
have when they are applied on a piano sound.
Old King Dole. In this sample I use the sculpture filter,
the echo and the compressor to create a children's music piano box.
I also use the background sounds option to add some birds :)
Beethoven : Moonlight Sonata. In this sample I use the
sculpture filter to make a dark piano and add a rain sound in the
background. This Sonata is one of the most difficult piece of piano
to play with a virtual piano. It uses low velocity samples and is
very subtle. Usually piano that are faked (sample generated) can't
pay this midifile correctly. Here you can listen the way the sound
bank is well balanced, how it is possible to play dark and bright
and pass from one to another without any steps.
The key features of
the Absolute piano :
Optimization :even if the Absolute Piano is
small - if you compare to its competitors - it is based on a
very optimized high quality sound bank and it sounds fantastic.
Yes, small can be better ... sometime. This piano was sampled on 4
or 6 velocity layers with up
to 12 second length.
Creativity :
the Absolute Piano features a sound sculpture filter
specifically designed for that piano. It is in fact
a 3 bands powerful shelving filter tuned to 'sculpt' the
piano timber. You can create warm or old piano, ragtime or classical
sound easily.
Effects :
in every plug-in you have a set of effects, but, the
Absolute Piano has specific ones, designed only for this piano. The reverberator
is warm, very powerful and will not add any ringing
resonance. The chorus will greatly
emulate the piano bar style, and the peak boost will add an
incredible punch in the piano attack, while compressing and
limiting at the same time! Great for rock and pop styles...the
multi-tap echo can be sync to the tempo.
Background:
the
Absolute piano is a real simulator, and you can add pre-recorded
hi-quality background sounds, from restaurant, or concert
ambience to weird forest, thunder, sea, mountain wind, snow! Fun to play it is
a must for adding some emotions while you play, try it, you'll
re-discover your favorite pieces!
Synthesis : with
its very high quality filter, low pass, high pass, band pass,
and notch, with a constant gain and saturation, resonance and
self
oscillation, and also the volume envelope, you have access to the real
synthesizers endless possibilities. It is even possible to
emulate the sound of ... a violin! Most competitors are just
using a basic one pole filter to free some CPU power. With the Absolute Piano, you can
really create new sounds!
Stand alone,
FULL VST compatible version in the same install.
Absolute Piano Steinway B
The Absolute Piano

innovative possibilities. With its filters you can sculpt the piano
timber and produce a large number a piano sounds from the same base.
Everything is specifically designed to manipulate and play piano

Absolute
Piano : Steinway Concert Grand.
This piano has been sampled from a huge Steinway Model D piano. It
sounds large and deep. It can be used for all kind of music from
pop/rock to classical music. It has been recorded every 2 notes,
with 4 level of velocity. V4 introduce smooth crossface between each
layer for a better transition between each velocity layer.
About the
Steinway Model B: This magnificent 6' 10 1/2" (211cm)
grand piano is often referred to as "the perfect piano." It’s a
wonderfully balanced and versatile piano that does extremely well in
intimate settings, teaching studios, and mid-sized venues.
